The following good practice of the website is the use of cropped and adequate images. If the size of the images on each page is checked by opening them in a new tab, they are not as big as the best quality images. However, they are big enough to describe the information topic, and this makes the website pages more quick to download. All in all, the images that have been cropped and downgraded by their size have made the website pages load more quickly which influences any user’s habit in using this blog more frequently.

Problems in design and usability

The usability of the website is partially dependent on the how good or bad it is in terms of design. Although the information or data uploaded on the content of the webpage is proper, the problems in design may decrease the number of visitors’ and may bring a bad impression on them. Below, the problems are given in terms of the most prominent to the lesser priority.

First problem

The first noticeable problem of the website is the nonexistence of sitemap. The user of the website gets in trouble to easily navigate the pages. This also prevents the visitor to classify the site content, since no other means of functions except sitemap can properly classify the pages in accordance to their category. Overall, if there is no sitemap in the website it may confuse the visitor to navigate in the pages easily. This issue may kill the time efficiency of the user.

Second problem

The next problem that may cause a possible influence on visitor performance is the language. This “Экономическое обозрение – Economic Review” website does not offer any range of other languages for the visitor, except by Russian Language. This issue may dramatically decrease the number of visitors in the website no matter how important information they share; the visitor may try to look for another sources that is fit for their best understandable language. Overall, the limitation in language offering in any website may prevent the users to visit that website and this may lead to decrease in visitor indicators.
