созданы новые программы и учебники для начальной школы. Учебные 
программы были сосредоточены на работе с текстом и использовании 
различных типов текстовых заданий и методов. PIRLS (Progress in 
International Reading Literasy Study) — международная система 
оценивания, оценивающая качество чтения текста и уровень его 
понимания учащимися начальных классов в разных странах. Данный вид 
тестирования рассчитан на проведение каждые 5 лет, и участие 
узбекских школьников в исследовании на 2021 год возложит большую 
ответственность на учителей начальных классов. Выполнение этой 
важной задачи требует от педагога нового подхода к обучению, 
активности. На данный момент вопрос о том, как подготовить 
школьника к PIRLS, определяющему уровень международной оценки, 
волнует многих. Внеклассное чтение, подкрепление, уроки повторения и 
кружки играют важную роль в систематической подготовке к PIRLS. В 
этом 
случае 
важно 
расширение 
мировоззрения 
учащегося, 
самостоятельное мышление, развитие образного мышления.

Annotation: This article discusses the history, purpose, opportunities 
and importance of international PIRLS research in the education system. After 
the independence of the Republic, new programs and textbooks for primary 
school were created. Curricula have focused on text-based work and the use of 
different types of text-based assignments and techniques. PIRLS (Progress in 
International Reading Literacy Study) is an international assessment system 
that assesses the quality of text reading and comprehension levels of primary 
school students in different countries. This type of test is designed to be 
conducted every 5 years, and the participation of Uzbek students in the research 
for 2021 will place a great responsibility on primary school teachers. Carrying 
out this important task requires a teacher to take a new approach to education, 
to be active. At this point, the question of how to prepare a student for the 
PIRLS, which determines the level of international assessment, is of great 
concern to many. Extracurricular reading, reinforcement, revision lessons, and 
clubs play an important role in the systematic preparation for PIRLS. In this 
case, it is important to expand the student's worldview, independent thinking, 
and the development of figurative thinking.
