He Interior Minister reported to the President on the circumstances surrounding the terrorist attack in Makhachkala.
According to law enforcement agencies, at least five police officers were killed in the attack, and more than ten were injured.
The attack was carried out by a suicide bomber who blew up an explosives-packed car at a traffic police station, where officers were lined up outside for morning roll.
Dmitry Medvedev instructed Rashid Nurgaliyev to thoroughly analyse the circumstances surrounding the attack, take all the necessary measures to put law enforcement on high alert, and provide all the necessary assistance to the victims’ families and those injured in the attack.
