Subject: English

Topic: Follow the instructions

AIMS:
PRACTICAL: to learn to use should and should not;
Wedining vocabulary related to instructions; to learn to follow or refuse commands.
EDUCATIVE: to present differnt types of activities and learn their names to leaners
DEVELOPMENTAL: to develop teamworking ability, individual working.
UPBRINGING: to develop positive atttude towards to school rules and follow parents’ rules, commands.

Key vocabulary: school rules, computer games, should, to use cell phone, to bring, throw, trash bin.

Materials: Coursebook, projector, handouts, workbook, laptop, speaker, stikers for marking

Methods/Techniques: TPR, GTM, Simon says, Crossswords, quiz questions, Matching, Concrete method of assesment.


The procedure of the lesson

  1. Organizing moment. Greeting: "Good afternoon! How are you pupils? Are you ok?"

-checking the register;
-checking homework.
(it was project work. Pupils should draw families of animals and describe in English-Presentation).
Pupils should divide into 2 groups called: “Stars”, “Eagles”

  1. Pre-activity. Warm up. Activity name: “Simon says”

Procedure: Step1. Teacher should explain the rules.
Step2. If teacher says “Simon says….”, pupils should follow.
Step3. If the teacher does not say “Simon says, pupils should not that actions.

  1. Practicing. Activity 2. Pupils should make up rules:

The eagles make the rules they follow. The make the rules they should not do.

  1. Post-activity. Activity 3. Crosswords. Pupils work in groups and find the answers


Activity 4. Word game. They work again in small groups.

Pupils should write their answers to notebooks and pause then ask. Play again and check the answers.
Activity 6. Listen again and practice. Invite two volunteers and read and translate the dialog
Activity for first finishers: Matching. Find the beginning and the end of the sentences.
