  Produce consistent vertical force on the test sample under dynamic conditions

  Not allow the test sample to move during test. If clamping is necessary, the longitudinal force applied on the 

conductor shall not exceed 100 N/mm

  Have a stable base

  Test at a temperature of 23 °C ± 1 °C 

Repeat the procedure for 10 readings, however, change the needle after each abrasion test. 

Run one (1) test on each of the ten (10) samples and determine the number of cycles when needle abrades 

through the insulation and makes contact with the mandrel.
