Post PostmodernismAlthough many scholars would agree that the arts, including literature, have moved beyond postmodernism, there is no agreement on a description or characteristics of the current era, most agreeing that history will make those determinations4. Mark Twain is a popular exponent of 20th-century American literatureIn the late 19th and early 20th centuries, capitalism passed its last and upper stage into the era of imperialism. Large monopolies emerged. The reign of the financial oligarchy began. Tensions between the imperialist states (England, France, Germany and the United States) increased. On different sides of the globe, they tightened the policy of colonial conquest. These confrontations between capitalist states ultimately led them to the world imperialist war. In the era of” transient capitalism “or” dying " capitalism, the literary process also developed in a complex setting. Realist writers fought against the various manifestations of bourgeois-depressing literature. The main literary stream in foreign literature of the newest period remained critical realism. Writers of this current also represent distinctive signs of the time, while representatives of classical realism, which developed in the first half of the 19th century, are based on the traditions of Stendhal, Balzac, Dickens and other ADIBS. One of the famous representatives of American realistic literature of the late 19th century is Mark Twain. Samuel Lenghorn Clemens, whose literary pseudonym was Mark Twain, a major representative of American democratic literature, is a satirical and realistic writer who exposed the vices of contemporary bourgeois society. He is considered the greatest humorist adib in American literature. In the stories of Mark Twain, the transformation of humor into a powerful pilgrimage is clearly reflected in the work “the famous jumping frog that came out of Calaveras” (1865), based on a folkloric plot.
