Hundreds of species of harmful organisms have been found in chamomile plants. Harmful beetles, mealybugs, plant lice, arachnids, spider mites, and nematodes are serious pests and cause the main damage to plants. The scientific staff of essential oil, medicinal and dye plants of the Botanical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan and the Botanical Garden, in cooperation with experts, developed the "Bile driver" made from raw materials of medicinal plants that are ecologically clean and highly effective in the treatment of yellow (hepatitis), the most dangerous infectious disease common in Central Asia. They created Hozhimatov's kit" and this kit was allowed to be used and produced in scientific medicine (1997). The raw materials of wild medicinal plants are mainly prepared by the republican state-joint-stock concern "Uzfarmsanoat", matlubot companies and the farms of the "Shifobakhsh" production association of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Management of Uzbekistan.
The flora of our republic is rich in wild medicinal plants. Among them, in the group of promising medicinal plants, the chamomile medicinal plant, the fruits of which are called "Natural vitamin concentrate", has a special position. There are 17 species of Chamomile in our republic.
Special farms have been established in Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya and Namangan regions for the cultivation of medicinal plants on irrigated lands in our republic. The organization of cultivated plantations of medicinal plants and the development of technologies for the cultivation of ecologically clean products and their introduction into production remain a major issue.
