Lightning Detector 

The BLF’s at Covenant Park are monitored 

by a Lightning Detection System that is 

located on the roof of the SAC office 

building. All users of the facility are 

expected to follow the audible and visible 

alerts provided by this system: 



 

1 tone = Lightning is in the area, clear 

the fields. This is indicated by a red 

flashing light on the detection system. 



 

3 tones = Lightning has left the area, it 

is safe to use the fields. This is indicated 

by the lack of any flashing lights on the 

detection system.
