VOCABULARY VIDEOS
You may need to show a vocabulary word in video form on occasion. For example, if you want to teach the term "around," look for a video clip that shows something going around. A spinner will spin around in a simple 15-second video of a spinning top. It's a fascinating video to watch as well. On that note, connect the word to another subject you and your classmates are studying. You discuss how the hour and minute hands run "around" the clock face in a clockwise cycle while teaching time on an analog clock. A brief video of an analog clock running around the clock face to depict the passage of time is very easy to get.
Teach vocabulary “sprout” with video.
You could even make your own films to teach a vocabulary word's definition. Students enjoy watching videos of themselves and their classmates. Find ways to demonstrate the meaning of words by having pupils act them out.
TEACH WITH INTERACTIVE NOTEBOOKS
Interactive notebook exercises have grown in popularity because they allow students to construct a folding, flapping page in a notebook that they can engage with and reread later. It's a great method to review and take notes!

  • Find an image for students to paste into their notebooks in Google Slides.

  • Then, in the middle of the rectangle, write the vocabulary word. On one side, draw a dotted line for kids to cut and fold to create a door or window that opens and shuts on the page. Students compose a kid-friendly definition and statement to go with the image under the word flap.

The first time students do this cut and paste activity will be a little challenging because they are not familiar with the interactive note booking technique. Just go slow and take them step-by-step.


To summary
The lesson was emphasized to improve speaking, writing and reading skills. At the beginning of the pupils played the game “Where are we going, the boss?”. It helps to stimulate pupils for the new topic. Based on Richards (2006) and Jeremy Harmer (2007), “Students need to learn more than grammatical competence (an important dimension of language learning), but also communicative competences, given that students can master the rules of sentence formation in a language and still not be very successful at being able to use the language for meaningful communication”. That’s why, it is helpful to grab pupils’ attention to the new topic by different games. Moreover, the aphorism which is given in the lesson, is so thoughtful and helps pupils to think critically. For explaining the new grammar rule “Future Simple Tense”, the given questions and showed pictures can be essential to comprehend the new grammar rule easily.
