Seize the day
Many people want to live a greener lifestyle,
but don’t know where to start. To mark World
Environment Day, Hilary Osborne suggests
some small changes you can make to your
daily routine.
June 5, 2007
June 5th was World
Environment Day but what
can you do to help the environment? There are
lots of small things you can do that will save
energy and water. They will also help you to
produce less waste and pollution. Here is your
green working day.
Begin the day with a shower – but if you have
a
power shower, have a very quick one. Five
minutes under a regular shower uses only
around a third as much water as a bath, but
using a power shower can use up to 24
litres
of water a minute. To save a lot of water, use
a flannel.
