Only 12 percent of immigrants came to the UK for a new job. Eleven percent of immigrants came to the UK for other reasons. Furthermore, 6 percent of immigrants did not have reason to go to the UK.

In 2007, 29 percent of people who are moved to foreign countries from the UK for a definite job. The number of people who moved from the UK to a new career had the highest amount after people who are looking for accompanying, with 18 percent and 22 percent respectively.
