Effective ways of teaching listening and speaking
CONCLUSION
In the course of studying the topic of this work, we tried to find the best ways to implement pedagogical and psychological conditions aimed at solving the problem of developing listening skills, since listening is a complex analytical and synthetic activity, the success of which depends on the listener himself and his individual characteristics: on the development of his speech hearing , memory, attention, as well as on the conditions of perception, the number of presentations, and, finally, on the language features, their correspondence to the speech experience and knowledge of students. Therefore, before starting the experimental work, we prepared psychological questionnaires to identify the level of memory, attention and thinking, as well as the level of educational and cognitive motivation and the level of interest in the subject. Having analyzed the main difficulties in teaching listening in the course of preparing for an experimental study, we have developed a methodological system that takes into account these difficulties and ensures their overcoming. During the pilot study, the main tasks of the teacher in the lesson were taken into account: prepare the child for listening through a variety of prelistening tasks to generate interest, focus on the topic and update the vocabulary before listening; help during listening duringlistening, in order to remove difficulties during listening and to focus on some important points and to teach you to hear exactly the right information; discuss, draw conclusions after listening to postlistening, not only to check how well the content of the audio material is understood, but also to consolidate knowledge, and this is also a motive for listening. The system of exercises prepared for our experimental work was aimed at overcoming difficulties. We have identified the features of the organization of teaching the ability to listen using visualization, aimed at developing a stable.listening.skill.in.class.7A.students. In the process of experimental work, we determined the initial level of formation of listening skills in the students of the experimental group, and also determined the level of development of memory, attention and thinking. In the training of students in the experimental group, we introduced a system of exercises developed by us using visualization, aimed at developing listening skills, and changes in the level of formation of listening skills in students of the experimental group at the end of the experiment were determined. The system of exercises developed by us with the use of visualization, aimed at developing listening skills, included tasks for three stages of listening: before listening, during listening and after listening to the audio text. This system of exercises corresponded to the purpose of the ascertaining stage of the experiment, the individual and psychological characteristics of the students: the predominance of the level of development of thinking over memory and attention. Accordingly, the visualization used in the development of the exercise system was chosen to be mixed (verbally schematic), sound (verbal), illustrative and audiovisual. Download 45.56 Kb.
