Magzhan Jumabayev
Magzhan Bekenuli Jumabayev was born on June 25, 1893 in the Sosikkol tract of Sari-Aygir Volost, Petropavlovsky district. He died on March 19, 1938 in Almaty. Magjan came from a rich family; his father was a bii, the head of the volost. At the age of four, he began to study oriental languages and literature. The first poems of Maghjan have not been preserved. He continued to learn Arabic, Persian and Turkish languages at the Begishev madrasa in Kyzyl-Orda, where he received secondary Muslim education. In 1910, he entered Galiya madrasa, a higher Islamic educational institution in Ufa. But according to the advice of his teacher Galimjon Ibrahimov, who is a classic of Tatar literature, Magjon starts looking for other ways of education. With the support of Ibrohimov, the works of young Magjon were published for the first time in 1912 in the city of Kazan. In the same period, with the help of Mirjaqip Dulatov and Akmet Baytursinov, he began to learn the Russian language, get to know Russian and European literature closely, and cooperated with the "Kazaq" newspaper. In 1913, Magzhan entered the Omsk Pedagogical Seminary. During these years, Magzhan took part in the establishment of the "Unity" society in Omsk; was the editor of the handwritten magazine "Balapan". With his first steps in poetry, Mag'jan reveals his unique talent. He was widely recognized for his poetry collection "Sholpan" (1912). The first stage of the creative path covers the period from 1910 to February 1917. His poems based on historical facts called for the struggle for national liberation. In his poem "Otmish" Maghjan mentioned the names of the heroes who fought against the Dzhungar invaders. For him, the real hero was "remembering his nation." He was engaged in journalism; worked in the field of education, published the book "Pedagogy" in 1922. For some time, Maghjan was the editor of the newspaper Bostandiq Tuy ("Freedom Banner") published in Omsk and after 1921 in Petropavlovsk. The intense and productive period of Jumabayev's life was connected with the city of Tashkent, where he moved in 1922, where he wrote the story "Botir Boy", poems about Turkestan, articles about Akan Seri, Bukhor Jyrau, Abubakir Divayev. . He cooperated with "Aq Yol" newspaper and "Sholpan" magazine. Here, in Tashkent and Kazan, in 1922-23, he published two poetry collections and revealed his gifts. Magkhan belonged to the generation of poets who joined the two directions of spiritual development of Eastern and Western peoples for the first time in the regions of Central Asia and Kazakhstan.
