This was the best story I have ever read. It is about kindness and generosity between a young couple. Once there was a man and a woman who loved each other more than anything else in the universe. It was a day before Christmas. Her husband went to work. Della, the woman, loved her husband and thus she decided to buy a gift for the Christmas night. Alas, she had only a dollar and eighty-seven cent. She didn’t do what to do and was nervous. For her husband there were only two things which he valued most: his Wrist Watch and Della’s long hair.
Della decided to go to the shop in which she could cut and sold her hair, so she put on her brown coat and hat quickly and went out. She had arrived the shop and sold her beautiful, knee-length-hair which her husband loves most. Then she had $21.87 and for 20 dollars she bought a plain and nice chain for the Watch. Finally, her husband arrived, but she was a little bit reserved to tell her husband that she had her hair cut and sold in order to buy a present for his Watch. When her husband heard that he had not the loved hair anymore, he was shocked and could not understood the situation. Della tried to explain and they sat for dinner. He also gave her something wrapped with paper. It was the hair comb that Della always wanted to buy. She was so happy and her eyes were filled with tears. He bought it for her as a Christmas present too. As this hair comb was so expensive, he had to sell his valuable and beloved Watch…
In this Life, we have to sacrifice our most favorite things in order to get another one. There is nothing important more than Kind and Love in this world
