II. Literature Review
IT equipment repair workshops play a critical role in ensuring the efficient functioning of technology-based systems. With the increasing dependence on technology, it has become essential for IT equipment repair workshops to adopt effective management practices to meet the growing demand for their services. One such practice is the use of an AMIS, which provides a centralized platform for managing the repair activities of an IT equipment repair workshop. AMIS is a computerized system that assists in the planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling of activities performed by an organization. AMIS provides managers with the information needed to make informed decisions and allows them to monitor the progress of activities in real-time. In the context of IT equipment repair workshops, an AMIS can help streamline repair activities by providing an integrated platform for managing repair requests, assigning tasks to technicians, and tracking repair progress. Several studies have been conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of AMIS in managing repair activities in IT equipment repair workshops. For example, a study by Pan and Hu (2016) examined the impact of AMIS on repair cycle time and repair quality in a mobile phone repair workshop. The study found that the use of AMIS significantly reduced repair cycle time and improved repair quality. Another study by Haseeb et al. (2019) evaluated the effectiveness of AMIS in managing the repair activities of a computer repair workshop. The study found that the use of AMIS improved the efficiency of repair activities by reducing repair cycle time and increasing the productivity of technicians. Based on the existing literature, an effective AMIS for an IT equipment repair workshop should have the following key features and components: Repair request management: The system should provide a platform for managing repair requests, including capturing the details of the request, assigning a priority level, and tracking the progress of the request. Technician management: The system should provide a platform for managing technicians, including assigning tasks, tracking progress, and generating reports on technician productivity. Inventory management: The system should provide a platform for managing inventory, including tracking stock levels, generating purchase orders, and tracking the movement of inventory items. Reporting and analytics: The system should provide a platform for generating reports on repair activities, including repair cycle time, technician productivity, and inventory levels. In conclusion, the literature review highlights the importance of effective management practices in IT equipment repair workshops and the potential benefits of implementing an AMIS. The next section will describe the methodology used in this study. Download 18.07 Kb. Do'stlaringiz bilan baham: |
