INTRODUCTION (abstract of the PhD research dissertation)
The aim of the research is to study modal auxiliary verbs in Uzbek language,
to find their alternative forms and ways of expression in Korean language through
comparative analysis.
The object of the research. Auxiliary verbs of
modal meaning in Uzbek and
Korean languages were selected as the object of research.
The scientific novelty of the research is:
comparison of auxiliary verbs with modal meanings in Uzbek with auxiliary
verbs in Korean, it has been proved that they correspond to alternative forms such as
auxiliary verb, auxiliary adjective
and independent verb in Korean;
13 auxiliary verbs of modal meaning in Uzbek are divided into types according
to the means of connection with
-(i)b and
-a, -y, and
they can be expressed by
alternative forms connected with affixes such as
-아
/어
, -고
, -지
, -게
in Korean;
both languages are agglutinative and the existence of certain universals are
confirmed by, such as the absence of any verb that has become a complete auxiliary
verb and in the form of “verb + auxiliary verb”, combined
with affixes and used
sequentially;
in Uzbek, modal auxiliary verbs used in the negative form are connected mainly
by the
-
지
, to express in Korean, and it is found that they are expressed by auxiliary
verbs, such as
않다
, 말다
, which deny themselves.
