INTRODUCTION (abstract of the PhD thesis) 
Purpose of the research dissertation is to assess the regularities of the 
formation of surface and groundwater runoff in the Chatkal River using the HBV 
hydrological model. 
Object of the research work is Chatkal River, that is the largest left tributary 
of the Chirchik River in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region.
