Abstract. Moistening of the salted soils leads to their significant deformations, i.e. there are deformations at full 
initial flood and deformation of soil thickness caused viscoplastic by their current from under the base of road 
embankments at preservation of filtration of underground waters. Results of these engineering-geological inspections 
of real sections of the highway have shown that the main reason for collapses of road clothes and road bed, are 
caused on the one hand by considerable porosity of the salted soils in their natural state, and with another - factor of 
additional moistening of the bases due to violation of conditions of drainage system of surface water or due to 
development of irrigation agriculture in offtake strip.
