The research in this graduation paper will employ a mixed-methods approach, incorporating both qualitative and quantitative research methods to explore the research questions and achieve the research objectives.


Qualitative methods will be used to gather rich and detailed data on the experiences of English language learners and educators regarding the teaching and learning of culture in the English language classroom. These methods may include in-depth interviews, focus groups, and classroom observations.
Quantitative methods will be used to collect numerical data on the effectiveness of specific teaching strategies and activities in promoting intercultural communicative competence and enhancing language learning outcomes. These methods may include surveys and pre- and post-tests to measure language proficiency and intercultural competence.
