Introduction
In ancient times, for many centuries, folklore was the only form of poetic creativity. Even with the advent of writing over the millennia, up to the period of late feudalism, oral folk art did not lose its strength, and was widespread both among the working population and among the circles of the nobility and clergy.
With the development of society, various types and forms of oral poetic creativity were born and developed. Not all genres of folklore lived a long life. Some genres underwent significant changes, some disappeared, and new ones appeared in their place. Speaking about the formation of new genres of folklore, one cannot ignore the oral creativity of children. In folklore, there is such a thing as "children's folklore", which became widely popular back in the 19th century.
However, what is currently happening? Is children's folklore alive as a phenomenon, are folklore works being created in our time, do they function precisely as folklore works, is there variability of the same plot?
The purpose of this work is to find out what place children's folklore occupies in the modern children's environment.
Tasks:
1. Get acquainted with the literature on this issue;
2. Collect samples of modern children's folklore;
3. Describe the features of modern children's folklore.

This work consists of introduction, main and practical parts, conclusion, list of references and appendix.
