Spelling dictation

Ask the pupils to listen to you and write the words

. Dictate:nine, name, find, climb.

You can check the dictation yourself or ask the pupils to checkthemselves looking at Page 17 Activity 2. Say that if they havemany mistakes it means they must revise the letters and wordsand prepare for the next Spelling dictation.



Optional Ativity 5 Play “Do sums”.

Objective: to consolidate the numbers

STEP 1: Ask the pupils to look at the picture and say what thechildren are doing (They are playing a game.). Ask what Zumradmust do to do sums with the total 10 and what Jasur must do todo sums with the total “20”.

STEP 2: Explain that they will play the same game in pairs.Ask the pupils to look at the examples in the picture or in theDVD and then have the pupils them repeat after you or the DVD:“Nine plus one is ten”. Ask the pupils to translate the sentence.Ask who said this. (Answer Key: Zumrad). Repeat the procedurewith the example: 14 + 6 = 20.

Homework

Draw the pupils’ attention to Page 17 in their Workbooks.Ask whether the homework is clear to them. If necessary, explain.Also say that they should continue writing letters on Page 16.Draw the pupils’ attention to Homework Activity 2. Explainthat they should read and write the words.
