Activity 1 Listen and sing.

Objectives: to warm up;

to create an English speaking atmosphere.

Ask the pupils to listen to the song and say what the song isabout. Say that they will listen and sing the song for the last 3lessons of the unit.

Come again another day

Daddy wants to play

Rain, rain go away.

The song goes on in such manner with the words “Mommy”,“Brother”, “Sister”, “Baby” and “All the family” instead of theword “Daddy”.

Activity 2 Play “1, 2, 3 – hop! 1, 2, 3 – stop!”

Objective: to revise verbs: hop, swim, jump, fly

Ask the pupils to listen to your commands. Say that they must listen and do the actions, e.g.when you say “1, 2, 3 – hop!” theymust hop. Say that they should not be noisy because when yousay “1, 2, 3 – stop!” they must stop hopping. Those who willcontinue hopping are out of the game. Repeat the procedure withother verbs.If necessary, revise the verbs before the game or put cardswith words on the board.

Note: Don’t play more than 2–3 minutes.
