АННОТАЦИЯ 
В данной статье рассказывается о функции йода, как одного из важных микроэлементов физиологического 
развития организма; о щитовидной железе, как домене тиреоидного статуса; о физиологическом значении и изменение 
тиреоидного статуса при беременности; о строгой зависимости обследования тиреоидного статуса при беременности. 
Полноценное поддержание йодом новорожденного способствует дозреванию системы гипофизарно-тиреоидной 
оси регуляции, и полноценно помогает адаптироваться к внеутробной экзистенции, способствует дозреванию 
головного мозга, формированию ассоциативных связей и миелинизации нервных волокон, положительно влияет 
на когнитивные функции ребенка.

ABSTRACT 
This article describes the functions of iodine as one of the important trace elements of the physiological development 
of the body; about the thyroid gland as a domain of thyroid status; about the physiological significance and changes in 
the thyroid status during pregnancy; about strict check of thyroid status during pregnancy. 
Full-fledged iodine maintenance of the newborn contributes to the maturation of the pituitary-thyroid axis of regula-
tion, and fully helps to adapt to extrauterine existence, promotes the maturation of the brain, the formation of associative 
connections and myelination of nerve fibers, and has a positive effect on the cognitive functions of the child.
