An Uzbekistan Today correspondent has learned about the new items that will go on view soon. “Many years have passed since the establishment of the museum while big changes have occurred in the healthcare system. And they need to be reflected in the updated collection,” says Vladislav Bolkunov, the Director of the Museum. “This section will also be of interest to doctors, who are active participants of all transformation. It’s always exciting to look at and gauge the outcomes of your efforts.” The centerpiece of the update is the electrified map “Modern Organization of Medical Service in Uzbekistan” that is very sizeable – 2х6 meters. It will feature all major medical institutions across the country that represent the modern healthcare system. “The developed projects will need to include changes in connection with recent events that have seen institutions for medico-social services for socially vulnerable groups go under the administration of the Ministry of Health from the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population,” Bolunov said. Primary healthcare has been given a special place. The history of its development is represented according to the principle “yesterday-today.” Emphasis will be placed on the creation of a network of rural medical posts that have helped improve the quality of medical services for residents of remote populated areas. In the center of attention is switch from primary healthcare to general medical practices. The portal will start with an exposition of personalities that reflect major chiefs and prominent scientists in the development of the modern healthcare system. Download 0.83 Mb.
