The national army is our pride

A round-table conversation entitled “Our national army is the country’s pride” has taken place at the Tashkent military-telecommunications academic school on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of our Motherland’s independence.
Taking part in this event arranged by the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Uzbekistan were officials of the ministry, students of higher military educational establishments and those studying at that school.
It was noted that our national army had become a school of bravery and courage hardening young people’s willpower and bringing them up in the spirit of devotion and love for the Motherland thanks to large-scale military reforms being implemented under the leadership of our country’s President Islam Karimov.
In our country, special attention is being paid to training military personnel and to improving the system of military education.
A concert by the song and dance ensemble of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan took place.

Youth Forum of the Country

The next region to host the Youth festival “We are the children of a great country!” was the Andijon region.
This large-scale event, which includes 20 target projects, is organized by the “Kamolot” Public Youth Movement (PYM) jointly with ministries, Government agencies and the regional administration,
These projects under the titles “Deputies and the youth”, “Heroes of our times”, “My contribution to the advancement of my Motherland” and others have been held in the form of “round table” discussions, creative meetings, sport events and different types of activities.
A large group of scholars, poets and writers, art and cultural workers arrived from Tashkent to take part in the festival. The events were held in all the towns and districts of the region. Youth centers and sport arenas accommodated the events.
The opening of the forum in the Oltinkol district was held at the children’s Music and Art School № 17. The youths and girls discussed such issues as preservation of national customs and traditions and the study of the nation’s cultural heritage.
The young people of Buloqboshi district had a meeting with parliamentarians, in the course of which the young citizens demonstrated their aspiration to keep abreast with the socio-political life of the country.
Discussions at School №37 in Baliqchi district were focused on the problems of protecting the youth from the impact of destructive ideas, which present a threat to common human values. A quiz was organized on this topic and the winners received books as prizes.
Within the framework of the project “No one will remain outside mercy and attention” the participants of the festival visited the war and labor front veterans and the “Sakhovat” and “Muruvvat” charity homes.
The final accord of the youth forum was a gala concert at the regional “Soghlom avlod” stadium, which accommodated 25,000 spectators.
