Benefits 
The following is a list of benefits RTI currently offers its employees in Uzbekistan. 
Bereavement /
 
Emergency Leave 
RTI grants 5 working days of paid leave, to regular salaried, regular hourly and temporary 
salaried employees for attendance at funerals for members of the employee’s family. For the 
purpose of this policy, family includes: 
A staff member’s spouse, sibling, parent, child, grandchild, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, 
grandparent, father-in-law, or mother-in-law.
Health Benefits 
RTI will provide a supplementary medical benefit through a private medical insurance plan. The 
private medical insurance plan covers the employee and dependents (spouse and a maximum of 
four children of up to (21) years of age; and in an institution of learning).   
Holidays 
Holidays in RTI project offices typically are consistent with the national holiday schedule in the 
country, although RTI does not necessarily honor every holiday unless required by law. There 
are 9 in Uzbekistan that apply to all personnel. These holidays are: 
1. New Year 
2. International Women's Day
3. Nowruz 
4. Commemoration/Remembrance Day
5. Eid Al Fitr (End of Ramadan)
6. Eid Al Qurban
7. Independence Day

9. Constitution Day 
When holidays fall on a non-workday, RTI may observe the holiday on the preceding or 
following day when required by law or if the practice is prevailing in the country. The holiday 
schedule will be announced in advance by the COP/Project Manager, who will consult with 
Regional Office HR and project management to obtain the necessary approvals. If a scheduled 
holiday falls within an employee’s approved Annual Leave, it will not be charged to the 
employee as Annual Leave.
