...Our History,

East Windsor, Connecticut, incorporated

in 1779, was originally settled by farmers

drawn by the even topography and fertile

soils of the Connecticut River Valley. The

character of East Windsor is derived

from the river access, agricultural land,

and open space, which lend our town its

rural charm. We are comprised of five

villages, Broad Brook, Melrose, Scantic,

Warehouse Point and Windsorville. Take

a look around at how our history plays a part of our everyday life. From our active

Opera House to the East Windsor Academy Museum, from our historic churches

and farm fields and barns, to a fine meal at The Jonathan Pasco House built in

1782, the old charm of our rich New England past is evident all around us.
