AIM.UZ Xalqaro turistik tashkilotlarning asosiy maqsadi. Uchinchi ming yillikning boshida turizm planetar masshtabdagi kudratli ijtimoiy-iktisodiy va siyosiy xodisaga aylandi va kator mamlakatlar va regionlarning siyosati, va umuman olganda, jaxon tuzilishiga uzining kuchli ta’sirini kursata boshladi. U dunyodagi eng yukori daromad keltiruvchi bizneslar katoridan joy olib, xozirgi kunda sarmoya kuyilmalari effektivligi darajasi bilan neft va gaz kazib olish sanoati va avtomobilsozlik kabilarga kushildi. Turizm sistemasida iktisod va madaniyat, xavfsizlik va xalkaro munosabatlar, ekologiya va axoli bandligi, mexmonxona biznesi va transport tashkilotlarining yunalishlari uzaro korishib ketgan. Turizm rivojlanishi nafakat butun mamlakatning rivojlanishiga ijobiy ta’sir utkazadi, balki xar bir aloxida shaxs uchun xam katta ijobiy rol uynaydi. Turizmning rivoji kup davlatlar uchun xayotiy moxiyatga ega bulgan masala ekanligi va oxirgi paytlarda turizm biznesini krizis xolatiga olib kelib kuyishi mumkin bulgan xar xil siyosiy, iktisodiy, ekologik va xatto OITSning tarkalishi bilan boglik bulgan muammolarning yuzaga kelishi okibatida turizmning «kuch»larini kayta tiklash uchun kator tashkilotlar tuzilgan. Bugungi kunda dunyoda bir kancha xalkaro turistik tashkilotlar mavjud bulib, ularning yunalishlari xam serkirra turizm industriyasining yunalishlari kabi juda turlichadir. Bulardan tashkari eng yirik xalkaro turistik tashkilotlarga - Jaxon Turizm Tashkiloti (WTO), World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) («Jaxon Sayoxat va Turizm Konsiliumi»), Pacific Asia Travel Commission (PATA) («Osiyo Pasifik Sayoxat Kumitasi») va Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) («Iktisodiy Xamkorlik va Rivojlanish Tashkiloti»), European Travel Commission (ETC) («Ovrupa Sayoxatlar Kumitasi») va International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC) («Mexmondustlik Konsultantlarining Xalkaro Jamiyati»), The International Ecotourism Society («Xalkaro Ekoturizm Jamiyati»), shuningdek, Travel Industry Association of America («Amerika Sayoxat Industriyasi Assotsiatsiyasi»)lar kiradi.
