WHERE ARE YOU, MY HEART?
When my soul was in afar lands, Will and power will become feeble. Among me, there’re a lot of friends, However, I feel lonely and single. Suddenly, my soul became so old, Turn into pale my face. Looking for you, my gold, Dreams follow in your trace. Where have you gone my heart? End the patience, toleration. Soul is full of distress hard, My only wish is your conversation. Ever loyal to the soul my eyes, To hide the truth they shut tight; Wandering in my blood, in my eyes You are that fire, that delight. It’s okay, be far away, But be my heart’s heat. My melody isn’t in a trap, If you need a poem or soul, take it. I bow to Motherland, to this sacred Earth, My dream is caravan, my leader - belief... (This evening...) The role of Zulfiya in strengthening friendship between people of the world is great: She contributed much to the development of culture and spirituality. For outstanding merits of Zulfiya the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a Decree on the celebration of the 100th anniversary of her birth. Due to this significant Decree, Zulfiya’s selected poems have been translated into English from source language by talented translator and poetess Begoyim Kholbekova. We think the translator could feel well what the poetess had meant. She tried to retain meaning, form, rhymes and as well as tune of poem:
