You missed an important meeting at work.
Write a letter to your manager.
In the letter:
- Apologize for not attending
- Explain why you did not attend
- Say what you will do to make up for it
Dear Sir,
I am writing to apologize for not attending the meeting with our business partners held on 10th of April.
I knew that this meeting played a crucial role in the future expansion of our company to foreign countries. However, because of the problems that I had no control over I was unable to participate in the meeting. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience I have caused to you.
A day before meeting I had a high temperature and started coughing. I feared that I was infected with Corona-virus and did not want to jeopardize the health of others. Therefore, I decided that it would be better for me to socially distance myself from others and instead of going to the meeting I went to see a doctor to test for Covid 19.
To compensate for my absence, I am going to learn about the insights of the meeting from my other colleagues. I will also contact our business partners and explain the situation and will arrange a new date for the next meeting. I promise that I will not miss the next meeting and will take the responsibility of organizing our upcoming session.
Please accept my apologies once again.
Yours faithfully,
Aziz Rahimov
You live in a room in college which you share with another student. There are many problems with this arrangement and you find it difficult to work.
