The following documents are required – before the start of your studies – by upload or e-mail. This is so we can determine your eligibility, and
successfully admit you to your desired programme. If your documents are in a language other than English or German, we require an o icial
translation by a sworn translator. IU o ers a trusted partner to translate your documents – all digitally. Let us know if youʼd like us to refer you to our
translation partner.
Final Step: a er the start of your studies
Once you start studying, the following documents are required - by upload or e-mail, and must be submitted no later than 3 months a er your study

Bachelorʼs degree certificate
Note: a degree certificate should indicate the overall grade (min. C, 'satisfactory') and credits achieved.
Transcript of records from your diploma/certificate
Note: a transcript of records lists all the courses/subjects taken and grades achieved
Proof of English language proficiency (not older than 5 years)
e.g. TOEFL (min. 80 points), IELTS (min. level 6), Duolingo (min. 95 points), or our internal free-of-charge language course (level B2.2). If
you are a native speaker, or have previously studied in English, you may be exempted from this requirement.
