9. Thanksgiving Day- tashakkur bildirish kuni. This holiday comes on the fourth Thursday in November and is a national holiday too- bu ham millit bayramlardan biri hisoblanib bu bayram noyabr oyining to’rtinchi seshanbasida nishonlanadi.. It is the day for being thankful for what one has and for the harvest- bu bayram biror yordam bergani uchun tashakkur bildirish uchun nishonlanadi . The tradition began when, in the 17th century, the colonists from Ply­mouth colony in Massachusetts held a big harvest celebration with their Native American friends who had helped them grow food after a terrible harvest the previous year- bu an’ana 17- asrda boshlangan hisoblanadi . On Thanksgiving Day, families traditionally eat roast turkey bu kunda barcha odatda qovurilgan kurka iste’mol qilishadi. People travel long distances in order to be with their family on this holiday- bu bayramda odamlar uzoqdagi do’stlarinikiga o’z oilasi bilan birga borishadi.

10. Christmas. Christmas is a religious celebra­tion- kristmes bu diniy bayram hisoblanadi . It is celebrated on December 25 as the birth­day of Christ- bu bayram Xristning tug’ilgan kuni sharafiga 25 dekabrda nishonlanadi. It is a family holiday, and every house tries to have a Christmas tree, which is brightly decorated bu oilaviy bayram bo’lib unda har bir xonadonda yorqin bezatilgan archa o’rnatilgan bo’ladi. As a rule, presents for children, relatives and close friends are placed under the tree- bu bayramning qoidalaridan biri bolalarga, yaqinlarga va qarindoshlarga atalgan sovg’alab archa daraxti ostiga qo’yiladi. There are many traditional songs, sweets and treats asso­ciated with Christmas- bu bayramning juda ko’p qo’shiqlari, shirinliklari va taomlari bo’ladi. According to tradition, a mythical grandfatherly old man named "Santa Claus" brings presents to all the children while they are sleeping- ularning an’anasiga ko’ra afsonaviy chol “santa klaus”. ( bizda qorbobo) barcha uchun ular uxlab yotgan vaqtda sovg’a keltirishi kerak. He places them in the stockings (socks) that they leave for him to fill- u sovg’alarni to’ldirish uchun qoldirib ketilgan to’rvaga qoldiradi.
