INTRODUCTION (annotation of the doctoral dissertation)
The aim of the research work is to study, analyze and reveal ethno-regional peculiarities of the transformational processes of the crafts of the people of the southern areas of Uzbekistan in the second half of ХIХ century and at the beginning of ХХI century in the context of historical period on the basis of historical-ethnological materials.
The object of the research is the traditional crafts of the southern areas of Uzbekistan.
Scientific novelty of the research consists of the followings:
in the coverage from the point of view of the ethnological aspects of the production of goods for order and the market of the policy of traditional craftsmanship of the population of the Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions in the process of restoring ancient types of crafts and creating modern traditions;
disclosure of common historical aspects of such crafts of the region as boat building, textiles, embroidery, carpet weaving, ceramics, characterized by natural and geographical environment, economic style, appearance, their color, appearance and status;
in the introduction of industrial goods from Russia in the second half of the XIX - early XX centuries in the regions and the emergence of new types of traditional crafts, influence, attraction or subordination of local minerals, landscape, ancient culture and migration (“distribution”), introduction of a new designer to the designer’s artistic craft style and craftsmanship to meet the daily needs of the population (consumption, demand, market), continuing evidence of regional culture preservation;
in reviewing the development of technologies and industrialization in the Soviet era, the influence of carpet weaving, knitting, fabric and ceramics production on the traditional features of using machines, the exchange of industrial production, the process of articulation, skill among social and political, cultural relations as an instrument of collective production and the ethnographic characteristics of categorical occupations such as structural, geographical determinism compared with theoretical methods;
on the restoration of state policy old crafts, the creation of modern traditional forms in the years of independence, the demand for handicrafts, consumption, pottery, small business and entrepreneurship, emerging as market tourism, equity in property, urbanization in the modernization of crafts, the creation of shops and workshops of craftsmen for living, manual product development and technology development;
in semantic-semiotic analysis of symbols represented in the elements of craftsmanship, elements of the anthropological approach, coverage of the master and student traditions in handicrafts, cotton tradition and ethnographic materials based on field ethnographic materials, as well as disclosure of traditions of the Kashkadarya oasis in traditions brochures “Corey zargoni” of Guzar district).
