Implementation of the research results. 
The scholarly results and theoretical recommendations drawn in studying 
process of the Khiva Khanate’s foreign relations in the 16
th
-19
th
centuries were 
used and implemented in the following:

in the fundamental project FA-F8-047 «History of Khorezmian statehood 
(from the ancient time until 1924)», explored in the Ma’mun Academy – the 
regional department of the Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences;
in the fundamental project of FA-F1-G023 «History and historiography of 
education in Uzbekistan: experience, problems and development», explored at the 
Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan 
(Certificate of the Academy of Sciences № 3/1255-3176 of December 4, 2018); 
in the research project on the «History of Kazakhs and Kazakhstan in the 
Khivan manuscripts from the 16
th
– beginning of the 19
th 
century», conducted in 
Suleyman Demirel University of Kazakhstan (Confirmation letter from the 
University of Suleiman Demirel № 05-2-2-14/1168 of November 22, 2018); 
in the research and cultural-educational works, including the updating of the 
expositions and supplement of archival documents’ descriptions of the Preserve 
Museum «Ichan Kala» in Khiva (Certificate of the Ministry of Culture № 01-11-
08-8312 of December 3, 2018). 
The structure of the dissertation. The dissertation consists of an 
introduction, four chapters, conclusion and bibliography. The research part of the 
dissertation consists of 260 pages.
The first chapter of the dissertation, entitled «The institutional content of 
foreign relations of the Khiva Khanate and theoretical-methodological aspects 
of studying the problem», at the beginning of that it was implemented the 
historiographical analysis of the problem under question. In particular, there are 
shown relatively widely and poorly studied directions of the history of external 
relations of the Khiva Khanate, the results received up to today on the topic and the 
questions that remained open, analyzed theoretical and methodological approaches, 
problematic aspects. The second part of this chapter explains the special 
communication rules developed to conduct mutual agreement between different 
states and societies, including the definition of notions such as diplomatic 
ceremonial, protocol and etiquette, analyzed the general and peculiar features of 
the embassy ceremony in the Khiva Khanate.
