WHO IS IBN SINA ‘’AVICENNA’’?

• His name Al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAbd Allah ibn Sina.
• He was born c. 980 in a village near Bukhara
• (in present-day Uzbekistan)
• Known in the field of medicine and philosophy.
• He wrote almost 450 treatises.
• Author of 200 books on various subjects.
