Introduction

Today while implementing the third phrase of National program (Kadrlar tayyorlash milliy dasturi. 1997. 29- avgust) of preparing cadres, all new specialists undergoing the higher educational system are required to know one or several foreign languages. In connection with this, huge tasks are set before teachers of English language; teachers became one of the main subjects of educational reforms. Therefore, if a teacher is open to welcome new pedagogical innovations he can provide goal-oriented introduction of innovative ideas into educational process. Lately, range of significant official acts was issued on accelerating and developing the foreign languages teaching ; they define the state policy towards teaching foreign languages1


After gaining independence, Uzbekistan has advanced in culture, economy, scientific and technical innovations. Innovation factor has become one of the peculiarities of modern educational system. Today, the process of innovative improving of educational system activity continues; its modernization based on modern requirements as well. Therefore, this phase is called modernization era of educational system. our educational system was rebuilt during independence years. Its essence and significance form and methods were changed. On May 8, 2013 Cabinet of Ministers issued Resolution On approving state educational standard on foreign languages of continuous educational system’ 2 In compliance with the implementation of complex of activities on enhancement and development of new teaching methods in higher educational establishments, a number of researches have been carried out. According to state educational standards, for continuous education on foreign languages state educational standards define the following: goals and tasks of the subjects; essence of teaching and learning foreign languages; requirements to levels of graduates’ compulsory preparation in all levels of education. All requirements are elaborated wider and deeper for those whose specialty is foreign languages. For example, reading comprehension for them implies the ability of understanding social specialty-related or other long, complex texts; belles letters and scientific-popular books, magazines, periodical materials, instructions, advertisement materials, various information sheets, documents, school record book, questionnaires, informal or electronic letters; memoranda, lectures, critical analyses, and working with working documentation.
During conducting our research work we analyzed the significance of ways of developing reading skills to learn English and how to improve English learners’ knowledge. The significance of our work can be proved that we found out several ways of increasing the important parts of English for learners: grammar, vocabulary, spelling.
Is to identify the problems of learning English reading skills and how to learn English reading skills by looking at their ages. Many approaches have been proposed for the teaching of foreign language. One of the basic language skill is reading that includes pronunciation, syntax that are straightly linked with the theme of the qualification paper. However no one knows exactly how people learn languages although a great deal of research has been done into the subject.
Having based upon the actuality of the theme we are able to formulate the general goals of our qualification work.

  • To analyze the major results achieved in the studied field;

  • To prove the idea of importance of studying reading skill to learn English;

  • To work on the activities that are based on teaching reading skills;

  • To study, analyze and sum up from the scientific point of view.
