Today’s grocers collect massive amounts of data on transactions and interactions with consumers both on- and offline. That’s precisely why grocery retail is the perfect match for artificial intelligence (AI), which makes it possible to leverage that data into faster, more accurate decisions. This is an invaluable asset in an industry where retailers must control millions of goods flows and accurately match supply to demand at hundreds or even thousands of locations on a daily basis.

Personnel management tends to follow company policy without question. Employee benefits are often limited by preventing promotions above one salary grade and restricting annual increases within a compensation system.22 This is done to ensure consistency and encourage employee motivation through a scheduled pay grade range, which allows the employee to move up in pay grade at a consistent pace – usually one pay step up per year of service.
Thorough employee management is essential for any company. Human resource management is far more proactive than personnel management. Personnel management focuses on the maintenance of all personnel and administrative systems, whereas human resource management has a more strategic approach, forecasting the organisation’s needs and continuously monitoring and adjusting all systems.
4. What do you think of the leader's role in business operation?
Leaders are responsible for defining the organizational strategy.
This initial step often referred to as strategy articulation, is critical and sets not only the direction but the tone of the organization. “If you do not know yourself, it is difficult to judge what you should become. If you do not know where you are, it is difficult to decide where to go and how. If you do not know what you are really good at, it is tough to know what to do” .

This useful resource will help leaders understand their business model. Many organizational leaders, whether for-profit or non-profit, are using this and other strategy development tools to innovate their current strategies.
