On the topic " Location of rural settlements of Surkhandarya region " . master's degree of the dissertation
ANNOTATION
of the subject relevance . A lot of attention is being paid to comprehensive development and improvement of villages and solving existing socio-economic problems by fulfilling the tasks defined in the "Strategy of Agricultural Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2020-2030". Consequently, in the study of villages as a form of territorial organization of the social life of the society, and in the identification and solution of existing problems on a scientific basis, taking into account their geographical aspects is also important. The study of the geography of rural areas, research and analysis of rural population settlements, their structure and system, especially for specific regions with a low level of urbanization, including the Surkhandarya region, is of great scientific and practical importance. From this point of view, the positive solution of these problems within a particular region and our country justifies the relevance of this research.
Purpose of work. The purpose of the research work is to reveal the scientific-theoretical foundations of tourism and its natural-economic geographical aspects, to identify and analyze the tourist opportunities of Surkhandarya region, and to show the ways of their rational use.
Job duties. Within the framework of the set goal, the following tasks were set and solved in the dissertation work:

  To study the regional features of the growth and location of the rural population of the Republic;
  
• 
  development of scientific-methodical bases of social-economic development of rural areas and geographic study of rural settlements;
  

Research object and subject. Social-economic and demographic situation of rural areas of Surkhandarya region . and territorial organization and development features of rural settlements of the region serve
Research methods and methods. In the preparation of this master's thesis, it is planned to use research methods such as demographic-statistical, statistical analysis, geographical comparison, forecasting, cartographic, sociological survey.
Description of work structure. The research work consists of an introduction, three chapters, a conclusion, a list of used literature, and appendices. The first chapter describes the theoretical foundations of rural development in the Republic of Uzbekistan , and the second chapter describes the structural structure and demographic situation of villages in the Surkhandarya region . In the last chapter , scientific proposals and practical recommendations are given on the main issues of the development and location of rural settlements in Surkhandarya region .
