Sanskrit language is the most ancient language. It is also called ‘Dev Bhasha’. It is a living language and spoken as a primary language in some villages in
India. It is taught in a large number of schools.
Sanskrit is the root language of many modern Indian languages like Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Punjabi,
Gujarati, Maithili, Konkani, Assamese, Odia, Nepali etc.
Sanskrit compositions where orally transmitted by
methods of memorization of the ‘slokas’ and ‘ verses’ . Development of Reading Skill of Sanskrit is essential for learning this language.
To develop Reading Skill of Sanskrit Language, the present video book has been created based upon
Ruchira– Vol 1, the NCERT Text book for class VI.
The word meaning is also discussed at the end.
Hope the students of class VI will develop Reading Skill of Sanskrit text by this Video Book.
