LESSON 1. Lobular Pneumonia

Theme: Lobular pneumonia

In this lesson we will know:

1. What is lobular pneumonia?

2. What are signs and symptoms of r pneumonia?

3. How many stages of pneumonia are there?

What is Lobular pneumonia?

  • is a form of pneumonia that affects a large and continuous area of the lobe of a lung.
  • It is one of the two anatomic classifications
  • of pneumonia

    (the other being

    bronchopneumonia).

There are 4 steps of Pneumonia

Stage 1. Congestion Stage 2. Red hepatization Stage 3. Grey hepatization Stage 4. Resolution

Figure A shows the location of the lungs and airways in the body. This figure also shows pneumonia affecting the lower lobe of the left lung. Figure B shows normal alveoli. Figure C shows infected alveoli.

Infection

a. swelling (inflammation) of the tissue in one or both lungs. It's usually caused by a bacterial infection or a virus.

h. The invasion and growth of germs in the body. The germs may be bacteria, viruses, yeast, fungi, or other microorganisms.

Basic word order in English.

  • The standard order of words in an English sentence is subject + verb + object. There are four types of sentence structure: (1) simple, (2) compound, (3) complex, and (4) compound-complex.
  • The basic word order of an English sentence is Subject + Predicate.
  • The predicate is the part of the sentence that tells something about the subject. The predicate always includes the verb.
  • So, Subject + Predicate word order can be broken down into smaller pieces like this:
  • subject + verb

    Or 

    subject + verb + object

  • subject = noun or pronoun.
  • The person, place, or thing that the sentence is about.

  • verb = action or state of being
  • one verb or a verb phrase

  • object = the noun or nouns that receives the action of the verb or is affected
  • by the action of the verb
