The new words of today’s lesson

  • Symbol- ['sɪmb(ə)l]- ramz
  • Flame - [fleɪm]- alanga, olov
  • Torch - [tɔːʧ] – mash’ala, fonar
  • Motto -['mɔtəu]- shior
  • Represent - [ˌreprɪ'zent] - tasvirlamoq
  • Burn - [bɜːn] - yondirmoq
  • Ceremony - ['serɪmənɪ]–tantana,marosim
  • Journey - ['ʤɜːnɪ] - sayohat

The Olympic games have their own flag , motto and traditional Olympic flame.

The circles represent the five continents of Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and North and South America.

The most exciting moment of the opening ceremony is the lightning of the Olympic flame

Runners bring a torch from the valley of Olympia in Greece. At the opening ceremony , the final runner carries the torch to the stadium , and lights the new Olympic flame.

Differences between the ancient and the modern Olympic games.
