- John Wick lost his wife Elena as a result of an unnamed illness . Her posthumous gift was Daisy's puppy, along with a letter in which she hoped that the dog would help him cope with the loss. Wick gets attached to the puppy, and they spend whole days riding in a 1969 Ford Mustang. One day, at a gas station, John meets three strangers, and one of them, Josef Tarasov, insists on selling the Mustang, but John refuses. At night, the three break into his house, beat John, kill the puppy and steal the car.
