Some people think books are losing importance as a source of information and entertainment. To what extend do you agree?

Certain individuals ascertain that nowadays books are not so good source for getting information and for enjoying. As far as I am concerned, although recently there are lots of information and fan resources, books are still valuable resources for most people.

On the one hand, I argue that books will go on to be a vital source of information, even in this high-paced developing society. First of all, for the old and for those individuals who live in countrysides and have no opportunities like Internet or up to date gadgets, books are still informative and the best entertainment. For instance, in rural areas we still can see libraries being fool of people. What is more,
people with eye disability would prefer books rather than electronic devices as a information resources. Thus, it is not correct to consider books have lost their value.


On the other hand, in recent days, there are increasing numbers of electronic sources which can change books. Firstly, Internet has dramatically changed our life style, consequently, the usage of books experienced a plunge. Furthermore, most of modern individuals today likely prefer to read information on tables rather than on books. Nowadays, in underground stations or on buses in most cases we can see young people reading something on tablets. That means electronic devices are almost replacing books and are becoming the vital entertaining and information resource for people.
To sum up, although some argue that books are losing their value as information and fan sourse I believe that for some individuals they are still irreplaceable.
