The sky blue color symbolizes the blue sky and clean water. The azure color is considered in the East with respect. It was the color of Amir Temur’s flag.

The white color symbolizes peace and cleanliness. The young independent state must overcome great hurdles on its path. White means good wishes for a clean bright path.
Green reflects nature. The movement in the world to protect nature is growing and uses green as well.
Red is for the life force, pulsing in each living being, the symbol of life.
The half moon reflects the age-old traditions of the people of Uzbekistan. The half moon and stars symbolize the clear sky of peace. There are 12 stars, 12 being a sign of perfection.

STATE COAT OF ARMS

The law “On the state coat of arms of Uzbekistan” was passed on July 2, 1992 at the 8th session of the Supreme Soviet of Uzbekistan.
At the center is the Humo bird with wings spread – the symbol of happiness and freedom. Our great ancestor Alisher Navoi called the Humo the greatest living creature.
At the top is the 8-sided star symbolizing the sign of the establishment of the republic, with a half moon and star inside.
The sun represents the wish that our state’s path is lit by a bright light. It reflects the unique nature and climate of the republic.
The sheaf of wheat and the blossoming cotton symbolize the richness of our sunny land, famous around the world. They are tied by a strip that is 3-colored, similar to the flag, representing the solidarity of the people living here.

STATE ANTHEM OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN
A Law "On the State Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan" was adopted on December 10, 1992. The country’s national anthem symbolizes its state sovereignty.
For two years, many poets and composers took part in the creation of the national anthem. The joint work of Abdulla Aripov, the Peoples Poet of Uzbekistan, and Mutal Burkhanov, the Peoples Artist of Uzbekistan, was voted the best at the session of the Oliy Majlis (Parliament) of the Republic of Uzbekistan on December 10, 1992.

The creators of the anthem said that it should sound solemn, embodying and glorifying the people. Therefore, the melodies and rhythms from the imperishable legacy of the Shashmaqom musical art of the East was used in the anthem.

My country, sunny and free, salvation to your people
You are a warm-hearted companion to the friends
Flourish eternally with knowledge and inventions,
May your fame shine as long as the world exists!
Refrain:
These golden valleys-dear Uzbekistan,
Manly spirit of ancestors is companion to you!
When the great power of people became exuberant
You are the country that amazes the world!
Belief of generous Uzbek does not die out,
Free, young children are a strong wing for you!
The torch of independence, guardian of peace,
Just motherland be eternally prosperous!
Refrain:
These golden valleys-dear Uzbekistan,
Manly spirit of ancestors is companion to you!
When the great power of people became exuberant
You are the country that amazes the world!
