Notes

  • Requests for Special and Child meals will not be accepted (except when it is for medical reasons), on flights between Dubai and Bahrain, Dammam, Doha, Kuwait, Muscat and Riyadh, due to the relatively short flight times.
  • These meals should be requested through the PNR at least 24 hours in advance. Caterers usually are able to provide some of the special meals even at short notice. When any late requests are received, check with the caterer if they can provide the special meal, without delaying the flight and inform the passenger that we cannot guarantee supplying the meal, in order to avoid disappointment. Ensure that Cabin Crew are briefed accordingly.
  • The SPML code is to be used for special medical meal requirement not covered by any recognised codes mentioned. No other special meal request will be catered. It is important that the correct codes are used to reflect the meal requirement of the passengers to avoid misunderstandings, which may lead to passenger dissatisfaction.

  • Customers should provide written instructions concerning the disassembly and assembly of their wheelchairs.
  • Even if the wheelchair fact is already there in the system, the agent should verify the correct code (i.e., WCHR, WCHS, and WCHC) after checking the exact type of assistance required by the passenger.
