STUDENT:SITORA MUZAFFAROVA SPOKEN INTERACTION • Spoken interaction refers to the ability to actually hold, maintain and continue a conversation. Spoken production refers to just being able to speak in English. You can form sentences, you can say something in English. You might be able to give a presentation or deliver a status update. • Genres of spoken interaction refer to talk-in-interaction, which involves two (dialogic) or many (multiparty) interactants in everyday or institutional contexts. These genres include interaction types such as job interviews, small talk, classroom discourse, and service encounters. INTERVIEW TYPES OF INTERVIEW: WHAT IS CASUAL CONVERSATION • Casual conversation means blabber, chatter, chitchat, gab, gossip, table talk, trivial conversation, jesting, joking, kidding, ribbing, dialoguing, and small talk. • Informal language is more casual and spontaneous. It is used when communicating with friends or family either in writing or in conversation. It is used when writing personal emails, text messages and in some business correspondence. The tone of informal language is more person • al than formal language. • Formal language is less personal than informal language. It is used when writing for professional or academic purposes like graduate school assignments. Formal language does not use colloquialisms, contractions or first-person pronouns such as “I” or “We.” Informal language is more casual and spontaneous. ORGANIZING AND DIRECTING • Organizing is an important means of creating coordination and communication among the various departments of the organization. Different jobs and positions are interrelated by structural relationship. It specifies the channel and mode of communication among di • fferent members. • Organizing means allocating resources (people, equipment, and money) to carry out the company’s plans. Directing is the process of providing focus for employees and motivating them to achieve organizational goals.
