Strengths of tourism development in London.
Notable attractions:
The London Eye is a giant Ferris wheel located on the edge of the River Thames. It is 135 meters tall and has a diameter of 120 meters. A short walk away, the area boasts the London Aquarium, Elizabeth Tower, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and Nelson's Column. The British Museum is a public museum dedicated to human history, art and culture located in the Bloomsbury area of London. Its permanent collection of eight million works is among the largest and most comprehensive in existence.
Museums, galleries, parks and open spaces:
The National Portrait Gallery (NPG) is an art gallery in London housing a collection of portraits of historically important and famous British people. It was arguably the first national public gallery dedicated to portraits in the world when it opened in 1856.
Tate Britain, known from 1897 to 1932 as the National Gallery of British Art and from 1932 to 2000 as the Tate Gallery, is an art museum on Millbank.
Hyde Park is a Grade I-listed major park in Central London. It is the largest of four Royal Parks that form a chain from the entrance of Kensington Palace through Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park, via Hyde Park Corner and Green Park past the main entrance to Buckingham Palace.
The Green Park, usually known without the definite article simply as Green Park, is one of the Royal Parks of London.
Public transportation:
Public transportation is essential in bringing tourists to and from attractions, and deciding the means of and cost of their travel. London's transportation can also be an attraction in itself. London offers many forms of public transportation: The Underground (commonly referred to as the Tube), double-decker red buses, and taxis. Tourists can purchase Travel cards to take the Tube, bus, or over ground trains through designated zones.
Weaknesses of tourism development in London.
Climate of London:
London's weather is known for being quite unpredictable. In fact, Londoners regularly carry both sunglasses and an umbrella throughout the year. The seasons change gradually and winter can appear to still be hanging on when it should be spring.
Crowded and traffic:
Naturally lots of people want to tour in London. But then, you wouldn’t choose to tour in a city if you didn’t want to be in close proximity to lots of other people.
It has to be said that the traffic congestion in London is pretty intense.
The cost of living is expensive:
Undoubtedly London is not the cheapest place in the world to live. The wages are higher in London than other parts of the UK to counteract the higher prices. You may hear this referred to as ‘London Weighting’. This is basically an increase in wages for those living in the London area.
Opportunities for tourism development in London.
Environment-Friendly Place:
People have become very cautious about the environment in recent years. If you establish a place free from plastic and zero carbon emission. Such steps would help you to attract environmentally friendly customers.
Personalized Service with Unique Experience:
Most of the hotels, restaurants, travel companies and other businesses offer a collective service and treat everyone the same way. They lack a personalized customer service experience. In other words, there’s a growth potential for tourism development. If they’re able to provide a unique customer experience, they can excel in it.
Threats to tourism development in London.
Environmental Issues:
Tourism industry has been polluting the environment. It includes carbon emission by burning fuels, plastic bags, endangering the wild, cutting off the tree to establish hotel resorts, and many other issues.
Pandemic of Covid-19:
The lockdown and shutdown of businesses due to the pandemic of covid-19 has impacted very badly the tourism industry. No one was expecting the worldwide lockdown. It did happen and it impacted a lot of small businesses.
Visa Restriction:
It’s very difficult to get a tourist visa for different countries. Many countries don’t offer it easily. Even if you have the best quality service, but the government regulations aren’t letting people in. you can’t do anything about it. You have got no other choice, but to obey the law. 
Conclusion.
After a careful study of the SWOT analysis of tourism development in London, we have concluded that notable attractions, museums, galleries and parks develop tourism. But the visa restrictions, environmental issues, and many other threats is important.
