What is the aim of the course?

The aim of the course enlarging the range of student's vocabulary, and develop student's ability to recognise and use words in communication.

What topics are covered?

Topics are including general and professional interests. A wide range of idiomatic expressions and colloquialisms appropriating shifts in style and register .

What makes this very course different from Year I vocabulary course?

Difference from the Year I vocabulary course will be : Text - based activities for exploring and using vocabulary in context.

Awareness raising activities;

Dictionary researching activities;

Corpus based tasks ;

Students will able to exposing vocabulary in different contexts.

How is the course important for language learners?

Their active and passive vocabulary on the ability to convey finer shades of meaning precisely by using with responsible accuracy. The course will help to ranging effective strategies for guessing storing and recalling lexic.

What tasks you have to complete and submit?

Knowledge of vocabulary covered during the semester as well as on strategies will be developed on :

Knowledge based tasks ;

Stratege based tasks;

Context based tasks.

What language level you have to reach by the end of the course?

By the end of the course students should have developed a good command of idiomatic expressions and colloquialisms with an awareness of implied meaning and meaning by association . Also, a wide range of expressions to qualifying statements.
