Abstract
This paper analyses the marketing research in the field of tourism, with theoretical implications and
practical applicability for the qualitative or quantitative research process in the analysed field.
The paper presents different types of marketing studies, the methodology of marketing research in tourism
and the types of research that are normally used in this field.
The documentary style and the analysis of specific literature are the research methods used by the author.
For the documentary research, the author has used papers of different Anglo-American and European
theorists (authors).
