National Labor Inspectorate:
National Labor Inspectorate (pl: PIP or Państwowa Inspekcja Pracy) is an authority established to execute supervision and inspection of the labour law observance. It is subordinate to Parliament of the Republic of Poland. PIP supervises execution of Labor Code and audits safety conditions in companies. PIP inspectors can audit safety conditions in companies. Chief Sanitary Inspectorate: The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (pl: SANEPID or Państwowa Inspekcja Sanitarna) is a central administration body, subordinate to the Ministry of Health. It’s mission is an observance of public health protection. They focus particularly on disease control, food and nutrition safety, environmental hygiene, health promotion and other issues related to public health. SANEPID inspectors can audit health conditions in companies. National Social Security: This institution (pl: ZUS or Zakład Ubezpieczeń Społecznych) collects contributions and distributes money under retirement scheme, pension scheme, sickness scheme and industrial injury scheme. The contributions are deducted from salary by company on behalf of each employee. Part of contributions are paid by company on top of the gross base salary. National Tax Office: There is a saying: „there are two certainties in life: death and taxes”. Death is out of scope of labor legislation, while taxes are collected by National Tax office (pl: Urząd Skarbowy). The company is deducting tax from gross salary on behalf of each employee.
